Ukulele Festival . .

. . . in Kapiolani Park. My sister is staying with us, so we made the effort to go.
It was great, lazing away the afternoon. This was just the bandstand. There were also tents selling food, brand new ukuleles (very expensive), free ukulele lessons, CDs of performers for sale, and multiple family tents set up behind this small seating area. All shade trees were taken - bright, beautiful, sunny, hot Sunday! The grey-haired guy behind the mike to the left is Ohta-san, famous ukulele virtuoso, and the program was closed out by Jake Shimabukuro. Kids, as always, were terrific.
