Street Art

Someone has decided that Newquay would be a more interesting place to visit if it had some good street art.  Three pieces have been commissioned from local artists to be painted in September and October.

The Old Master-type painting of an fisherman mending nets by candlelight, unveiled last week, was inspired by old photographs in Newquay's Museum and was painted by a talented 20-year old!

The first painting was the colourful abstract in the first extra.  The third painting is still a secret.

There were already some pieces around.  I have always liked the painter in the second extra.
