Life is like a river

Red lights

Still cold, -5°C, and sunny.
Loðvík proudly brought home another dead bird this morning. He's getting quite good at this, probably because the birds are intoxicated from all the fermented berries they've been eating and therefore become easier prey for cats - or so I've been told?

On our way home from the weekly big shop in Bónus and B. Jensen, I snapped this photo at an intersection in front of Glerártorg, Akureyri's main shopping center.
Here we have a small "forest" of trees in the background and a "forest" of light poles, flag poles and traffic signs.
The traffic lights in our town are special, because instead of a normal circular red light we have those lovely red hearts. Very popular subject for tourists photographing in Akureyri and apparently they also make a nice decoration or background for wedding photos :)

I still miss the the enormous beating heart in Mt. Vaðlaheiði
(Vaðlaheiði is here pictured in the background).
