Loch Lomond in October

At the bottom of Mindi's garden there's a gate which opens onto this view of the loch. This afternoon Mindi and I had a walk along the shore in brilliant sunshine. A few minutes earlier it had been raining.

If you can see the tiny black mark right in the middle of the frame, it was a helicopter!

Former colleague Marie and I treated former boss, Alison, to lunch in The Clachan for her birthday today. As usual Alison and I opted for the Malaysian lamb casserole. I won't need to cook tonight.

Extra  -  Balmaha Bay this morning - water level surprisingly low and still quite a few boats to be seen. They'll be gone by winter.
