Lemony Day

A day with lovely bright sunshine interspersed with several showers of rain. It’s been still again so the day has had a mellow autumnal feel to it despite the rather mixed up weather.

Andy had his flu and Covid jabs this morning and later this afternoon we had a walk around the village. It felt wonderful to breathe the fresh air. We popped into the allotment and picked some courgettes. The kale, ‘spring greens’ and cabbages are looking good, as are the spinach, chard and leeks. The apples are all fallen or picked from the trees. Now we’re home I’m sipping a hot lemon and honey drink and wishing I could grow lemons at my plot!
