Needed a bit of a distraction today .
Morning walk with two neighbours for Street Watch.
Wearing high viz jackets and it’s amazing that traffic just stops to let us cross, people smile, stop to chat and tell us all sorts!!!
Heard that a past pupil had lost his battle with a brain tumour. He had been doing so well for eleven years, surprising doctors here and in America, with his regime of exercise, diet and amazing positive attitude. Sadly operations and new drugs couldn’t help any more.
I feel very fortunate that I’m still in touch with many past pupils, from starting to teach in 1971… but it’s hard when sad news comes.
Decided to go and find the new Paddington Statues that have been set up across the country to advertise the Paddington 3 film coming out in November.
.. and yes I did have a photo taken of me sitting next to him!
I I should have given him a cuddle but didn’t want marmalade all over me
