Snow Bunting
After our long walk yesterday we wanted a bit of a quieter day so chose to stay local. It was definitely a day of sunshine and showers which we managed to time perfectly. A couple of hours at Stag Rocks and a walk on Bamburgh beach, followed by a nice lunch at the Copper Kettle and 5 minutes after we got back to the car, the heavens opened. In fact as we got to the car, this little snow bunting was hopping around on the road waiting for us. I took a couple of quick shots to avoid getting absolutely drenched and we headed back to the cottage. Extra is a shot of the lighthouse at Stag Rocks as the rain was approaching and part of a rainbow formed.
A couple of hours at home relaxing and then the sun came out again so we drove over to Beadnell for another short walk before yet another squally shower had us scampering back to the car again. That was enough for me today anyway after yesterdays exertions, so we came home.
