Everyday I Write The Book

More medicine

Jakeman’s have been making chest and throat lozenges in Boston (England) for 117 years. They are pretty good when you’ve got a chesty cold. Anyway I am better tonight. I slept like a baby. No I didn’t wet myself and start crying, I slept through the night. Overslept so much in fact so I had to rush downstairs in my pyjamas to meet Stefan the roof man.

Actually I need to make a variation on the classic joke before going any further. Please indulge me:

"I spoke to a roofing man in my pyjamas this morning. What he was doing in my pyjamas I don’t know. Maybe he’d had a night on the tiles."

Actually Stefan had plenty of bad news for us. Holes, missing rendering, dodgy pointing, and bad gutters. Oh and a wasp’s nest. But what can you do? A house is a money pit …

I blame the oversleeping on Night Nurse. In fact I might make a cocktail based on the stuff. Night Nurse, chartreuse and coconut cream. Bet that would be a winner.

We had a frustrating day. The Yoga Mama was poorly and ended up in hospital for the day.  The day lacked momentum and energy. But we did have a couple of shack sessions, one with cards and another in the evening with curry.

I feel another early night coming on. "Nurse!…."
