A contrasting day

A bit of a weird day. Started off with an early trip in the rain for speciality bread as Mrs Rex was taking Andrew to the golf range because he "likes to smash golf balls". By the time she returned the rain had stopped and the sun had come out but then it went away again and the rain returned. And so it continued until it got dark and we gave up on looking out the window and started watching the Croatia v Scotland game where once again we achieved glorious failure by losing after our equalising goal in added time was ruled out by VAR. More of a shock perhaps was the news that Alex Salmond had died after giving a speech in North Macedonia. Love him or loathe him you can't say he didn't make an impression, or a difference.
