Vibrant…..

Early this morning Maisie and I took a slight detour during our walk. We sidetracked to Pollard Park where we headed for a special place ….. the Rhododendron Dell. There I photographed some rhododendrons and azaleas. This stunning golden orange one is very likely a variety called Ilam Azaleas. Many years ago the gardens of the historic Ilam Homestead in Christchurch was famous for its”Ilam Azaleas” with their delicate fragrance s and vibrant colours. .
