Bring It On

A back blip for me as we made the journey up and across to Manchester to Old Trafford the Theatre of Dreams . We made the journey last year and this year we got to see Wigan take on Hull KR in the Super league Grand final. Setting off from Lincolnshire we soon got to the M62 and joined the large numbers travelling from Hull for their 1st Grand final appearance.

Despite having been before I managed to take the wrong turning and had to find my way to our parking place at International Timber  which was through work , we did get parked up a little later than planned but we had allowed a fair bit of extra time it just meant we couldn't soak up any atmosphere and see the teams arrive outside the ground. still in the ground 1 hour before kick off to at least soak up the pre match atmosphere and entertainment.
As you can see from my shot taken on my mobile we had a very good seat and view from up in the  gods. My blip shows the teams entering the pitch ready for the kick off.
A very entertaining close match but Wigan's defence was to strong again  and a great try from Bevan French who went on to win the newly names Rob Burrow man of the match award helped Wigan beat Hull KR 9 - 2 .

The journey home was not the best due to a lot of traffic and roadworks and stops at service stations where Julie was unable to get a coffee fix .A good job we was on a high  to make the journey more bearable getting home after midnight hence posting  as a back blip . despite getting home that late we found time to relax unwind and have a couple of celebratory beers.
