All is safely gathered in ...

....as the harvest hymn puts it.   

When I was young and in the choir at St Ninian's in Troon I always used to love the annual Harvest Festival, with that hymn at it's centre.   

The annual "Growers Lunch" in Glendaruel and Colintraive is a sort of secular Harvest Festival at which the people who use the community polytunnels get together and celebrate their growing year with an amazing spread of their foodstuffs , and a few more things.   They also sell the jams, chutneys and jellies they have made from their produce.
