The Other Side Of The Carlingnose Jetty
Normally I'd shoot this jetty from a bit higher up but today I carried on down to the bottom of the path. I was looking to see if it was worth getting on to the shoreline, it's very, very rocky and a good place to take a fall. Decided it wasn't worth the risk as I did notice that the tide was on the turn and to get stranded wasn't in my playbook for today.
So I am happy with my choice of location. The 70-300mm lens I'm using sure does make short work of the distance across the river. The ruler in Google Earth tells me that the distance from the jetty to the opposite bank is approx 1.6 miles. Not a swim I'd fancy.
