Inuk

A boardgame arrived today - only 18 months late but that's Kickstarter for you.  Kickstarter is a crowdfunding mechanism that's used frequently to bring new boardgames to market, especially by small independent publishers.  The delivery date promises are almost always wildly optimistic, but not usually quite this late.


Through Ice and Snow is based on the challenge to find the "north-west passage" around America in the 19th Century.

Looks promising, if potentially a bit grisly if food runs short.

The publishers have made quite a thing about involving the Inuit in the design and presentation of their culture in the game.  

A single Inuit is an Inuk apparently.
