Nuthatch

Today felt as if we have finished with Autumn and moved into winter, a bitterly cold day. At 09.30 it was 2C according to the car temperature gauge and some slushy ice on the windscreen, brrr. We headed up to Aberfoyle for a coffee and scones before walking up to the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park to look for red squirrels. We saw two at the viewing area but I didn’t get any good photos. Lots of birds though : Nuthatch, CoalTits, GreatTits, Chaffinch, Robin, BlueTits and a Wren! I think I have commented twice this week that I never see wrens so was happily corrected today and popped my only photo of it in as an extra.
