Welcoming Light

This wrought iron lamp has just been re-hung after having been renovated by a talented member of our congregation. Some years ago its fixings became weakened and it was too dangerous to leave in place, so it had been removed and put into storage. 

Its renovation was commissioned as part of our church’s 150th anniversary celebrations and it’s wonderful to see it back in its rightful place, looking splendid once again.

And, just for fun, I’ve added a shot in extras of my heirloom doll wearing the beret which I promised little H I would make for her. The doll originally had beautiful plaits tied up with satin bows, but you’ll have to take my word for it!
