Cracked It
Early start, coffee & toast and I was on it.
Furniture moved, power off at the board and the first socket removed from the wall to gain access.
I installed the new cables and refitted the socket, then over the next three hours I ran the cables inside surface mounted trunking, fitted two new double sockets with usb, cleaned up, tested working and replaced the furniture.
Lunch consisted of two mugs of lukewarm coffee, the power on/off for the morning meant the percolator hot plate was on/off as well.
In the afternoon I drilled through from the cupboard where the distribution board is sited, and again ran the cables around two walls of the lounge inside surface mounted trunking this time fitting three new double sockets with usb, again all cleaned up but not tested. By now I was a little tired and having spent around eight hours kneeling I ached in places I didn’t know I had muscles.
Not keen on connecting the tails into the distribution board in poor light I’ll finish tomorrow..
Dinner was a very good Indian takeaway, chicken Bengali curry, plain naan and onion bahji hit the spot.
Tired I was in bed and sound asleep by ten thirty.
Todays photo, I’m not surprised they trained for the Dieppe Raid here, having been to Dieppe the pebble beaches are identical.
