Ancient and modern

Just another sign of change, new houses being built around the outskirts of the village. Maybe not an inspiring subject, but I liked the sharp lines and shadows agains the looming clouds (sharper in large, as always). Meanwhile, the centre of the village is emptying out, mostly as a result of elderly long-time residents dying. But a few houses have been sold recently, so we might have some neighbours again soon.

It hasn't rained, just been overcast and oppressive all day. I mostly stayed at home and read. Meanwhile S had lovely weather for his mountain yomp with the club. He's just got back, exhausted.
