Morning service today with the good people of the Cathedral. We were looking after children’s church, always a joy. And Mary was welcomed into the Select Vestry. Yes, we’re not too sure either. A quick search on Google offers;
A cathedral select vestry is a group of people who manage the day-to-day operations and make decisions for a parish. They are responsible for the fabric, furnishings, and finances of the parish. The select vestry is responsible for making important decisions, including how, when, and by whom. Members of the select vestry should not make personal attacks on other members or parishioners.
The Cathedral hosts plenty of exhibitions. The latest is on the Ripon Bible, written in 1260. Fascinating stuff!
