Waves
Sadly, it was our last day in Whitby so some of us had a lie in, two of us ran up the 199 steps to the Abbey and I took my camera down to the more dangerous of the two harbour piers to blip some different angles on the sea and the town. After the high overnight winds, the sea was very lively so I stayed away from the edges which are not fenced on this pier.
Back at the house, all Hobblers were raring to go on the Whitby Trail which was a very entertaining and well thought out walk through the town, to several places none of us had been. There were clues to find, sums to work out and words to be entered into a grid. There was also much misinterpretation and laughter. Half way round we came across the Cafe 'Cranberry Swamp' which served vegan and vegetarian so we decided we were all ready to eat. Then it was onwards to complete the trail down in the Harbour and, regretfully, to return to the house to pack and head to our separate cars for the journey home.
Many thanks to S for organising us another fabulous Hobbler weekend; to WilsdenWalker for the games and the trail and to the Hobblers for being such excellent company. I wonder where we will go next year???
