Off to Amsterdam

Plan is to take each of my grandchildren to Amsterdam where their uncle and family live.  We got to the airport early and there met my daughter’s old university flatmate who was heading to Alicante with her family.  It was Amelie who recognised her but it was so good to meet up and get to see her lovely children. 
And then……….well plane left over 3 hours late.  Luckily I had started with the eldest grandchild as she was uncomplaining and easy to amuse.  Jode and Otis picked us up at Schiphol and we had family meal and then a fairly early night.
