Sabbath
Yet another stunning sunrise and after an early breakfast we observed it in total tranquility until approaching pheasant territory! Dippy seems to have reached the conclusion that these flying creatures are just not worth trying to catch.
2 hours later after a saunter through some lovely woodland of oak, hazel and some small elms we were invited to sit by the Aga with a warm drink and ginger biscuit(s).
Having solved the world’s problems Charlie popped in to say hello and invited me to have a look around his self constructed motor home (s), very impressive indeed. He’s off to the continent soon as he suffers in the British winter temperatures.
A tidy up and light lunch before collecting some more puppy food and a few other essentials from the local shop.(Sainsbury’s.)
Over to Instow for some social activities for Dippy and myself. It was a popular destination there was certainly 57 different varieties and sizes of dog charging about. A
National yachting competition going on in the background added to the entertainment, as was the 3 1/2 pound bass my friend had enticed from the river.
Several hours later having bumped into several locals who had been good customers when I was working in Instow for 15 years we moved to Appledore and some food and banter at the Beever Inn.
Rain persisted on the journey home and helped us relax in our cosy four wheeled hotel, reading for me as Dippy caught some Zzzzzzzzs
