A Vitamin D Day
Actually, this picture was taken on the 10th but it was such a pleasant experience that I've got to put it in.
The day started fresh and clear so arriving a little chilly at Yew Tree Hall gave a good incentive to get moving and learning. A taster session for Ballroom and Latin Dance was being held, something I've not tried before. Despite being, as I had thought, primarily for established couples the actual tuition was good. I paired up with another lady I am aquainted with and before we knew it our teacher had us twirling down the room with the first steps of a foxtrot. After a quick cup of tea we cha cha cha'ed the other way. I'm not sure if it will be held again or if I would want to continue. As he said, it takes years to really get good at and I think you would need a regular partner. Still very good fun.
Afterwards the sun was really putting on a show and so I bobbed into the Jubilee garden next door to eat lunch - and stayed there basking on a bench for nearly three hours. I justified this by imagining how much Vit D was being fixed under my skin and writing out the draft of a story, between dozes.
