A very heavy rain hit São Paulo last Friday and to this day some neighborhoods are without electricity.
The big political discussion in Brazil now is whether the privatization model for electricity distribution was adequate or not. The company responsible laid off a third of its employees and now has no staff to carry out the maintenance needed to resume supply.
