The real world and the virtual world

Another glorious day.  Is this our summer? Time for a walk around Sheriffmuir reservoir. Sadly, there are no swans left.
 
But there are a number of wild swimmers even though the temperature is 9-10C.
 
My Monday morning had a fraught start and I  need a walk to de-stress. 
I had a heap of Apple computer problems which  couldn’t  be put off solving any longer. It  began with a long chat with a chatbot who seemed remarkably empathetic and human (“ I am a chatbot and I am here to help you…”) . She passes me to a digital nomad working somewhere, he would not tell me where except it’s not the UK ( “ I can work anywhere”)  who passes me on to a tech expert in America.
He demands we screen share (once upon a time I would have been terrified at handing my computer over to some disembodied voice half way across the world but hey! This is 2024). 
Together we solve the software problem.
Phew! I needed that walk.
Do we trust computers or do we trust humans? that is the dilemma we face.
