Pictorial blethers

All jaggy

Not really feeling up to my usual garrulous entry tonight after getting our Covid and flu vaccinations at midday, but ... It was a glorious day, chilly but wonderfully sunny. I had time to go to Pilates before the appointments at the vaccination clinic, which is held these days in the local hospital. We think they must have organised it by postcode, as we met several of our neighbours there - in fact Himself tripped over a kerb while distracted by seeing someone and arrived on the ward with bloody hands ...

Interestingly, the flu jag was more painful going in and in the immediate aftermath, while the Covid one suddenly decided to make its presence felt a couple of hours later. Now both arms ache, but my main symptom is nausea ...

Despite all this, we couldn't resist a brief walk in the sun, and took ourselves along the Ardyne beach road in the late afternoon. One of my extras is the view over the very low tide shore towards the distant Arran hills; the other an anonymous NATO ship passing down the firth earlier in the day.

My main photo comes from the elderly lilac tree at the end of our back garden - I love the maroon colour of the leaves, which strikes me as unusual.

Now for bed, fingers crossed. I need to feel better tomorrow ...
