Thirlmere

I was passing Thirlmere this morning (on the way to Grasmere) and saw how incredibly still it was. Turned off at the south end and drove round the back of the lake. A couple of hours went by in a flash - so many possible compositions. 

I often wonder why people don't like Thirlmere - they refer to it as "the reservoir", but I always think it has an almost Scandinavian feel to it.
