Path through the park

My daughter in law C has started a new job so on a Monday I pick my granddaughter up from school and look after her until Mum comes home. Her little sister goes to nursery.

My emergency blip is the path through the park on my way to I’s school. It was raining so we didn’t go via the playground which is our usual routine.

When we got to her house, her little sister was there. She had been sent home from nursery with a temperature and dad was holding the fort while trying to work from home.

I took over the childcare with E appearing to be fine.
