Tiny Tuesday - ‘Water’
At last I felt well enough to go along to our fortnightly house group at Christine’s this morning, having tested negative for Covid. I got quite breathless just walking for 5 minutes to get there! It was so good to see everyone, and we had some great discussions. I came home with a couple of things to open for my birthday tomorrow, and some cards also arrived in the post. It will still feel strange celebrating without Mum and Dad there, I don’t think I’ll ever get used to that.
This afternoon I had an email from the solicitor who has been dealing with Mum’s estate. She has finally written the Deed of Appointment to take the bungalow out of the family trust. I now need to sign it, along with my brother-in-law and my niece (the other two trustees) so that my parents’ will trusts can be closed down. Then I need to be registered as the sole owner of the property with Land Registry, and with any luck that will be the end of nearly two years of administration (fingers tightly crossed).
Thank you to freespiral for hosting the Tiny Tuesday challenge - this week’s theme is ‘Water’. This tiny articulated sterling silver fish was bought in Spain in the late 70’s to go on a charm bracelet I had that was fashionable at the time. I’ve always loved how it wiggles when you handle it. Mum had one the same in solid gold, which was more relevant to her because her watery astrological sign was Pisces the fish. She and Dad, a Libran like me, will be very much on my mind tomorrow as I mark the anniversary of the day I was born to them.
