Walking with Giants

This is the memorial to over 1400 members of the armed service who gave their lives in the D Day landings,

It is currently on display at Stowe gardens so we visited today, meeting up with Chantler63 at the same time.

It was difficult to grasp the scale of it as many of the figures are hidden around corners among the bushes but it was quite a spectacle. There’s some very moving writing on display too, this was spaced out at points along the very long walk from the visitor centre.

It was a bit like the time when Kathy and I were relatively new blippers and met for our first ever blipmeet.

We have had a good day.
