Learning to ride
All the farm dogs love to ride in the side by side. Daisy wasn’t sure but she’s beginning to like it!
Many of you have asked about her so I will give the details. She was spayed and did really well! Vet thinks she’s around 7 yrs old which is what we believe. A good friend has her litter mate we are almost positive. She is very strongly positive for heart worms, as she was never placed on preventatives. She has a mammary tumor that the vet could not remove during this surgery due to Anesthesia time restraints. He says it is probably malignant due to not being spayed but it is possible that spaying will stop spread and growth. There are no signs of spread at this time. We will watch for growth and remove it if necessary. The plan is to let her heal from surgery at least a month, then start heartworm treatment. We are thinking we will probably start that in January as she will have to be confined , probably house bound. It will be easier when holiday company is gone. She shows no symptoms of heart worms other than very positive test so that’s a good thing.
She is happy and fat, 88 pounds! She is the sweetest spirited dog. I have no doubt she is where she needs to be, as much for us than for her.
Be blessed.
