Church building catching sun

Early visit to the pool; quiet because of half-term. Cloud clearing as I came out. This is another building with an odd history  , built 1838, neo-perpendicular Gothic, architect John Henderson. Converted to an electricity substation in 1957, now used by Rhema. 

R came over, finding our back gate in the lane. We went out to walk through the Queen Street gardens, admiring the species oaks and a grand Montpelier maple  Acer monspessulanum which was new to me. Some of the central garden trees have useful labels. 

The evening exercise was running a kettle test to confirm for E.ON that our meter really is our meter, part of the ongoing saga of trying to sort out accounts and meters in the building.
