Massive red beech …..

….. ….. ….. on the Bush Creek Trail today.
Friend A. & I made our way up the trail this morning; it’s quite a journey going up there. We didn’t make it to the saddle this time - next time maybe. First time up there
for A. This tree is enormous; must be really old.

The conditions were perfect for walking through this podycarp forest. A. was thrilled to see it all. I’m tagging it for the Wide Wednesday Challenge. Thanks steveng
