The Barony

A fine pub with fine beer and not busy in the early evening. And what’s more, we bumped into friends and had a two pint catch up before walking home.
I’d whiled away a couple of hours at the allotment a little earlier, deciding I’d better harvest the rest of the unripe tomatoes before we’d any more frost. I lifted one bush that had been frosted hard but the other seemed in better nick and I’ve left it for now, tomato free but still in flower. Mostly though I worked on the berry patch where the frame is more badly damaged than I thought and in need of a cunning plan. In lieu of such, I cleared a season’s weeds so it’s ready for mulching. That’s for the next visit though.
