Bamburgh

It’s been such a gloomy dark wet day that I was stuck for a blip. This is a painting I did years ago of the beach at Bamburgh.

I’ve had to order 2 more balls of wool from Jamiesons as I’m going to run out before I complete the coat.There’s no local stockist so I’ll take the postage hit. The wool is £1.30 a ball more expensive than when I purchased the pattern and wool in Shetland 2 years ago.

I went to meet up with some U3A women who are interested in setting up a knit and stitch group, to discuss how we’d go forward. We’re going to have a go at meeting in our houses rather than rent a room which would be expensive if not many turn up so we’ll see how it goes.

We’ll be watching a bit of Ludwig tonight. Easy watching - my cold is almost gone but the cough sounds like I smoke 40 a day.

I’ve had an email from Fenwicks to invite me to try out their champagne bar - it’s in conjunction with Greggs. The idea of a sausage roll and champagne tickles me.
