Water Under the Bridge

Did a short but very wet walk along the Wharfe. Kept the camera under wraps until I reached this bridge on the return route, then stood under the bridge to take this out of the rain! The bridge itself is chunky, with a crenellated top, which seemed to be overkill for a footbridge, but apparently it's actually an aqueduct, carrying hidden pipes from the Upper Nidderdale reservoirs. Anyway, it kept the camera dry.

It was another solo walk, P & S stayed snoozing in the van. S was so uncoordinated late last night we took him to the out-of-hours vet in Ilkley, who ruled out ear infections & injuries & said it was neurological, something that happens to elderly dogs for no apparent reason. Time usually heals.
