The grounds of the Hill of Tarvitt are stunning with its gardens, golf course, pastures, cows and sheep grazing, cottages and utility buildings, and wooded areas. I was impressed by the beautiful old tree specimens gracing the estate. The mansion was closed.

The Fife Folk Museum made me grateful for how easy our lives are in this century! The growing and processing of flax was surely hard work. No wonder there are so many weavers’ cottages in Ceres.
