We headed down into Baddeck early this morning, to listen to a very wonderful Tibetan Buddhist teacher.   He was so delightful and his words rang true for me in so many ways.   His teachings are very down to earth and so applicable to everyday life.   He was talking in particular to the idea of "Sacredness".....something I can relate to but had never used this particular word to describe it before!   Paying attention, with appreciation and gratitude to all aspects of life.   A small excerpt from his book Embracing Each Moment.

"Sacredness is not a belief system...not entirely a religious matter...it's not even a Buddhist thing.  The question is how we can feel that we are tuning into this truth that seems to be invisible and yet is all pervasive., so we may be able to feel this sacredness in relationship to ourselves...people and the world of nature, as well as all living beings"

It was lovely to see so many people at this gathering and to see faces i haven't seen in a few years.  It was also a bright and sunny day, just so beautiful.   I'm feeling very grateful right now for so much :)
