Chilly

Today’s the chilliest day we’ve had and they’ve issued our first freeze warning for tonight. Before sunset I’ll cover the mums and millet seed, but I may leave the zinnias alone. They’re looking pretty tired and it might be time to say goodbye • I set up the heated birdbath too knowing the critters will be looking for fresh water tomorrow morning • MrsP and I filled up a few small buckets with a sand/salt mix that we use for walkways when it’s icy. Best to do it now while it’s warmer out. We’ve learned that lesson the hard way! • After a stop at the post office we drove to Farmingdale to check out the cemetery. It’s always so pretty in the fall, and atmospheric with Halloween on the way. We were sorry to see an old tree toppled over, likely from the terrible wind gusts we experienced a few days ago • Hope all is well with you and yours • Peace & Love
