Barter Books, Alnwick
A VERY wet day. No chance of any outdoor pursuits or photography unless you wanted to get wet, and we didn’t.
After a final lunch of the best crab sandwiches in the area at the Copper Kettle in Bamburgh, we drove to the famous Barter Books in Alnwick. It’s a huge second hand bookstore that is housed in the old railway station. It’s chock full of thousands of books from expensive first editions to tatty old paperbacks.
We spent a while having a browse but weren’t tempted to purchase anything.
Such a shame our last full day in Northumberland has been so wet, but we are very thankful for a fabulous week up here once again. We will be back again next year.
