Reculver: Mudlark and Pier
More estuarine in large
Im and I went to Reculver in the evening to see the sun go down and to get a drink at The King Ethelbert Inn just below Reculver Towers (the ruins of the medieval church) and the Roman Fort. The inn is of the "a pub that time forgot" variety, which was amusing.
I'd not visited Reculver before, and the towers (visible from Herne Bay) are rather surreal and impressive, but it was the view with my back to the towers that seemed most evocative today.
Others here (or right from Heron and gulls)
