Scone and jam? Don't mind if I do. No, wait, wrong scone. This is Scooooooone (more like scune I suppose), ancient home of the stone of destiny, crowning place of the kings of scotland and home to the game fair.

Boiling hot, brilliant sunshine, loads of ice creams and lots to see and do. +1/3 and I had a shot at clay shooting; I wasn't at all sure if he would take to it but he did very well. I foresee a day when he's asking for more shotgun lessons.

I've done clay shooting a few times but this was the first time that the instructor actually took the time to evaluate which was my dominant eye. It turns out that both +1/3 and I are left-eye dominant despite being right-handed. I opted to shoot from the left shoulder while +1/3 had a blanking plate over his right eye and shot from the right shoulder.

Great fun but as always my boney shoulders end up nicely bruised.
