Autumn Colours

A lovely sunny day, but very cold in the morning. It is that time of year when the sun is so low, the sun shines in the eyes first thing, before it goes behind the flats across the road. Also very limited sunlight on the north face of the Pentland hills.

The walk before lunch is lovely, In the sunshine it feels very warm. There are loads of insects on the wild flowers in the park. At the local primary school it is half term, so foxes take the opportunity to laze in the sun. Walking back through the park, the local rabbit is out in the sunshine grazing, and is joined by a grey squirrel. See Extra for a collage of all the animals enjoying an extra day of summer.

After work it is still sunny and sunny. Photo shows a few of the trees in the park exhibiting autumn colours. Near home we even sit for 10/15 minutes in the sunshine. Unfortunately the sun dips behind trees far too early, so we head home.
