Hub
I mentioned the water meter yesterday. Today it was exchanged.
But also the "hub", where four different pipes divert the water into different parts inside and outside the house. We namely had a little leak in one of the connections between hub and pipe. The old hub was already 36 years old and due to the water hardness and corrosion it had become prone to leaks.
We could have had just one T-part exchanged, but the risk of the same issue in one of the others made us decide to spend some money more.
The way the plumber cut the pipes and later squeezed all together was new to me. I would have used an angle grinder or even a saw for the cutting, and connect the parts with screw threads and screws, plus using something like sealing tape or hemp fibre to make the connections watertight.
