Dragonfly on a lotus blossom

This weekend was the lavender festival in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. It is becoming quite an event. The baby, her momma and I went this morning. Sally wanted the u pick it lavender but I made a beeline to the lotus pond. The events were held at several places but Sally and I only went to the Los Poblanos Farm.

My favorite location at the farm is the lotus pond which is full of dragonflies. This poor dragonfly is missing a chunk out of one wing but seemed to fly okay.

Today, I am grateful for the day I was given, family time, lotus plants, dragonflies and the smell of lavender.
