Visitors
A visit from Michael B this morning - he wanted advice on his mandolins from MrM. He brought his two dogs with him, Lily and Taika (Finnish for 'magic'). Lily was too busy scavenging, unsuccessfully, for scraps on the floor to pose for photos. Taika (in the Blip) stood still, but she was much more interested in having her chin tickled than posing.
After MB had left, MrM and I went into Holmfirth for lunch at Beatties, as we both had chores to do afterwards. MrM needed to go to the post office, and buy some ingredients to make curry, while I went to the pharmacy for my Covid jab, and then to the wholefood shop. We met up in the mill shop, where we both made sale purchases. On the way back the hill seemed like Everest under the weight of our shopping, and by then we were also carry clothing that we had shed. When we set off it seemed decidedly chilly, but the temperature must have risen sharply in a short space of time...
