Aubergines

When you hear of the colour aubergine used in decorating terms, you immediately imagine a dark purple colour. However, there is a huge colourful array of aubergines (or Egg plants depending where you buy them) on offer these days. Morrisons have a wonderful selection on offer in a brightly coloured display.

Outside I could still see the smouldering fires on Arthurs Seat - terrible that people can't be more careful in this tinder dry environment. The wildlife that must have suffered as a result of this fire... ... but that is another story.
