Economy

After yesterday's deluge(s) today was completely different with glorious autumn sunshine all day. It was a bit of a slowish start but we were out of the door by 1000 and walked along the South West Coast path to Mousehole (pronounced mouzal), via the still working fishing port of Newlyn. I'd hate to be here in the summer with wall to wall tourists but it was nice today. It would have been rude not to support the local economy and try one of the local beers while we were there.

While we were eating dinner last night (see extra for the 'after') the restaurant I'd booked for tonight phoned to say they'd had to close for two days due to staff illness and weren't going to be able to accommodate us. She was very apologetic but as it's a small family run place no staff sadly means no food.

We've found somewhere else.
