Time Gentlemen Please!
A great visit today to the historic Devon town of Buckfastleigh. This is the public bar of the Valiant Soldier in the Towns main street, The pub closed it's doors in the 1960's and everything was left as it was. Today it is a museum and heritage centre where you can wander through the two bars and the other rooms upstairs and downstairs. Absolutely fascinating! We also visited the atmospheric remains of the towns church. Built on a hill, and reached via 120 stone steps it was destoyed in a fire. The town also has an interesting industrial heritage and a herritage steam railway.
