Am I Watching Too Much Bake-Off?…

… Every year, I am overcome with a Certain Enthusiasm… I’m still battling with Bread Week Fervour to be honest. Fortunately (?) I am short of yeast.

Caramel week is never going to float my boat. (I am too attached to my teeth).
So I resurrected the cake tins that provide tiny specimens. They create lovely ‘sides’ (neat and uniform) but, the washing-up of them? Less fun. Now I remember why I don’t bake things like this very often. I’m all for ‘easy’ in the kitchen sink dept. (Most depts actually).
I’d never have managed a home without time-saving gadgets.
Or would I?
I am trying not to use the electrical whizzers so much these days. The above were mixed by hand (or ‘beyond’, as they used to say where I come from). Not too onerous really. (Easier on the whole than washing up the electrical stuff I’d say).
